(_Overview)
One supporter record behind three ways to give
A charity shop is a commerce site wearing a charity's clothes. It has a basket, a checkout and a delivery promise, and it also has to carry a brand built for a very different conversation. Run it as a separate product and you get a second design system, a second set of patterns for the same buttons, and a supporter who exists twice in the database. The governance was the work. One component kit across three brands on multisite, so donate, shop and play share a grammar rather than resembling each other by coincidence. Behind it, one supporter record: somebody who buys a card in December and plays the raffle in March is one person to the charity, not two rows to reconcile later. No shop-specific figures were shared with me. What I can point at is the system, and the fact that three brands went onto one platform and stayed consistent.
